ECONOMY & WORKING OPPORTUNITIES

Home to the economic giant Toronto, Ontario makes up the largest GDP for all of Canada. Over the past couple of decades, Toronto’s job market has boomed, with technological advancements and high levels of innovation making it one of the most prominent economies in North America. In a recent survey, Toronto was ranked 7th place for most innovative city in the world, citing social infrastructure, and livability among the factors for its top spot.

Ontario’s thriving employment industry can be attributed to the vast number of job opportunities available to residents. Banking institutions, tech start-ups, media corporations, and insurance companies make up a significant part of available careers.

ACADEMICS & NOTABLE SCHOOLS

Ontario has the most universities out of any province in Canada, and some of the best institutions in the country. The University of Toronto is one of Canada’s leading schools, and is a driving force of innovation, with influential research being done in a variety of fields, such as technology, medicine, and business. The University of Ottawa is also an excellent school, and offers programs in both French and English, catering to a larger international community than most universities in Canada.
