CANADIAN SCHOOLS BY PROVINCE:
As one of Canada’s Prairie Provinces, Alberta is known for its beautiful landscapes and famous national parks. Neighboured by the Rocky Mountains to the west, the province offers a lot in terms of landscape and Canada’s natural beauty. It also has a thriving oil industry, big cities, and great universities and colleges for international students.
British Columbia is the most western province of Canada and borders the Pacific Ocean. It is home to the popular city Vancouver, which has consistently ranked among the most liveable cities in the world. BC is known for its strong education options such as the University of British Columbia, making it a fantastic province for international students.
Often called the Breadbasket of Canada, Saskatchewan is the central Prairie Province of the country. Sporting flatlands and beautiful landscapes, Saskatchewan paints a perfect picture of Canadian rural life.
Manitoba is the most eastern Prairie Province, featuring countrysides and many large lakes. The province is known for its polar bear populations to the north, which attracts thousands of tourists worldwide. It also has the lowest unemployment rate out of all the provinces, one of the biggest cities in Winnipeg, and strong post-secondary education options.
Ontario is located in east-central Canada and is the most populated province of the country. It borders the Great Lakes and is home to Canada’s capital Ottawa, and Toronto, the country’s financial hub. The province also has access to the most number of universities than any other province, making it a popular choice for post-secondary education.
Quebec is the largest province in Canada and is the only province where French is the official language. However, there is a large Anglophone community and numerous English-speaking schools, making it a coveted choice for international students due to the language diversity. Quebec is also home to one of Canada’s most internationally recognized institutions, McGill University, located in the heart of downtown Montreal.
Comprising two landmasses, Newfoundland and Labrador is the most eastern province of Canada and borders the Atlantic Ocean. The province is known for its abundant greenery, rich natural resources, and large tourist destination St. John’s.
Prince Edward Island is located in the Atlantic Ocean and is one of the Maritime Provinces of Canada. The province is known for its beautiful beaches, lighthouses, and the famous Anne of Green Gables story.
New Brunswick is one of Canada’s Maritime Provinces, bordering the Atlantic Ocean to the west and Quebec to the east. It is the only Canadian province that has two official languages, French and English, with options for post-secondary studies in either.
Nova Scotia is an Atlantic province of Canada, and home to the popular tourist destination Halifax. The province is known for its beautiful scenery, with ocean sides and coves present throughout the province.

There are 3 territories in Canada located in the north of the country. Known for their rich cultural heritage, they are home to many of Canada’s First Nations, Métis, and Inuit population.
